Form and experience
Over the span of four weeks, each of us developed a character. The module was about observing how our bodies act, move, function, and behave within space-making, allowing us to understand our own bodies more deeply We were introduced to the book THE SELECT NONSENSE OF SUKUMAR RAY in which all of us individually chose a poem that resonated with us. As we tried to understand how sukumar created the characters.
How do body make space? body in space making.
we know that architects are trained to design space but its also important to at body how does it make space as it move, fucntion. it makes space for itself then the arose in my mind was does the architect designs and make space? or body make space as it functions? actually it's both the architect and body because architect set up or arranges the space in way that the body will respond it as it moves.
THE MIRACLE MAN That doctor's amazing! They say the old sinner Puts food in his mouth when he's eating his dinner. And also feels hungry if starved of his bread. And closes his eyes when he sleeps in his bed! He walks with his feet always treading the ground. His eyes can see things, and his ears can hear sound. On his shoulders, they tell me, his head you can view :O let's go and see if such things can be true!

My poem was the miracle man, The poem had a sense of parody, exaggerating the obvious, such as a man laughing when he smiles or breaking down into tears when he cries. So my own response to the poem became an anchoring point for me to make ears which goes with my body and became an extension of my body itself.after finishing props we started our rehearsals where my character was cry baby who cries all the time . also what we learnd is materiality.how to work with many many kinds of material while exploring the form..
Genrally we think architect designs and create spaces but How bodies will open up into a character inhabits the theatre the space, makes it's own presence , enboby iteself
